Nigerian industrialist and philanthropist, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has pledged a total of 1.5 million dollars in bonuses and goal incentives to the Super Eagles following their victory over Algeria.
Rabiu, who is the Chairman of BUA Group, congratulated the national team on the win, describing it as a morale booster that has lifted the spirit of Nigerians.
In a goodwill message issued on Saturday, Rabiu commended the players for their determination and resilience, assuring them of the nation’s unwavering support as they prepare for the semi-final stage of the competition.
To further motivate the team, he announced a pledge of 500,000 dollars to the players if they win their semi-final match, in addition to a bonus of 50,000 dollars for every goal scored in the encounter.
He also disclosed that should the Super Eagles go on to win the final, he would reward the team with one million dollars, alongside a goal bonus of 100,000 dollars for each goal scored in the final match.
“You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals,” Rabiu said, urging the players to remain focused and committed.
He wished the team continued success, noting that their performance has once again placed Nigeria firmly in the spotlight on the continental football stage.
