The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA), has announced the commencement of an internal and external recruitment exercise for academic and non-teaching staff positions across the institution.
This is contained in an official advertisement published on the university’s website, inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill various vacant positions in its faculties and administrative units.
According to the announcement, available academic positions include Professor, Associate Professor (Reader), Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I and II, as well as Assistant Lecturer. The academic vacancies cut across faculties such as Allied Health Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences and Dentistry, covering several health-related departments.
The university is also recruiting for a number of non-teaching positions, including Medical Officers, Nurses, Laboratory Scientists for the University Clinic, Fire Officers (I and II), Senior Fire Officer, Accountants, Librarians, as well as Registry and Planning staff, among others.

The application window for the recruitment exercise, which opened on Dec. 24, 2025, is scheduled to close on Jan. 21, 2026.
