The Presidency has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains hale and hearty, dismissing concerns over his health following a brief stumble during an official visit to Türkiye.
The incident occurred on Tuesday while the President was taking part in a ceremonial parade organised in his honour. According to the Presidency, the slip was caused by a poorly laid blue carpet at the venue.
It added that President Tinubu quickly recovered and has since continued with his official engagements. At the time of the statement, he was holding a bilateral meeting with Turkish authorities and was scheduled to address a joint press conference thereafter.
