Following the successes recorded by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2025, its Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has called for the establishment of special courts to handle anti-corruption cases, in order to eliminate unnecessary delays in prosecution.
Olukoyede made the call during a reward and recognition ceremony organised to honour outstanding personnel of the Commission and to motivate others to intensify the fight against corruption nationwide.
He noted that the EFCC recorded significant achievements during the year, with recoveries amounting to billions of naira, millions of dollars, and hundreds of thousands of pounds sterling and euros, alongside thousands of convictions.
The Chairman reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to building on these gains with integrity, stressing that the EFCC remains determined to uphold its position as the country’s foremost anti-corruption agency.
