JOHESU Calls Off 84-Day Nationwide Strike

The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) has called off its nationwide strike after 84 days of industrial action.

‎The decision was taken at the end of an expanded National Executive Council (NEC) emergency meeting held in Abuja on Friday.

‎The meeting was convened to assess the outcome of the conciliation talks between the Federal Government and JOHESU, which took place on Thursday at the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

‎In a communiqué issued after the meeting, the union said the strike was suspended to allow the Federal Government to commence the implementation of the agreed Terms of Settlement reached with JOHESU.
