‎Meeting with Tinubu: Gov Yusuf Reveals Key Outcomes



‎Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to deliberate on critical issues affecting the state.

‎In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor said the closed-door meeting centred on security, major infrastructure development and enhanced cooperation between the Kano State Government and the Federal Government.

‎Governor Yusuf briefed President Tinubu on the security challenges confronting Kano, particularly the increasing cases of insecurity in some local government areas. He highlighted the recent tragic killing of a housewife and her children, stressing the urgent need for stronger federal support to improve security and safeguard lives.

‎He also explained the role of the Kano State Neighbourhood Watch Corps in complementing the efforts of conventional security agencies and called for closer collaboration with federal security institutions to strengthen security operations across the state.

‎On infrastructure and development, the governor outlined his administration’s plans for major projects aimed at boosting economic growth. He expressed appreciation to the President for the Federal Government’s intervention on the Wujuwuju Road, describing the project as a critical step towards unlocking economic activities and creating jobs.

‎Governor Yusuf further appealed for presidential support to fast-track ongoing federal projects in Kano and to ensure the state fully benefits from federal programmes and investments.

‎He disclosed that President Tinubu assured him of the Federal Government’s readiness to partner with Kano State in tackling insecurity and promoting sustainable development.
