
Rt Hon Abdullkadir Rahis, a member of the House of Representatives representing Maiduguri Federal Constituency, has reiterated his commitment to advancing development in Maiduguri and across Borno State.
Rahis, who is currently serving his third consecutive term in the House of Representatives, said his sustained electoral victories reflected the confidence reposed in him by his constituents and his dedication to public service.
Before his election into the National Assembly, Rahis served an unprecedented five terms as Chairman of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, where he was credited with notable achievements in urban development, infrastructure improvement and community engagement.
Speaking on his political journey, Rahis noted that his experience in local governance had equipped him with practical insights into grassroots challenges, which continue to guide his legislative interventions at the national level.
He said he had consistently championed policies and motions aimed at promoting economic empowerment, improving access to education and enhancing security within Maiduguri and its environs.
Rahis also described humanitarian service as a core part of his public life, adding that supporting vulnerable groups and rebuilding communities affected by insurgency remained a priority.

As he continues his third term in the House of Representatives, Rahis pledged to intensify efforts toward attracting federal projects and interventions that would improve the living standards of residents of Maiduguri Federal Constituency.
