‎The Senate is set to resume plenary on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

‎The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by Emmanuel Odo, Clerk of the Senate. According to him, the directive to reconvene was given by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, who instructed that all lawmakers be formally notified.

‎Odo stated that the plenary session will commence at 11:00 a.m. in the Senate Chamber. He quoted the Senate President as directing that all distinguished senators be informed of the resumption date.

‎He further called on lawmakers to adjust their existing schedules to ensure full participation, noting that important national matters will be deliberated during the session.

‎The notice comes after a two-week recess, during which senators focused on budget defence sessions involving various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
