Tension erupted in Abuja on Monday after a group of aggrieved workers reportedly confronted the convoy of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, during a protest over unresolved welfare and salary concerns.
A video obtained showed the striking workers assembling to press their demands before becoming visibly agitated as the minister’s convoy drove past the area.
The protesters were heard chanting slogans and advancing toward the vehicles, calling on authorities to address their grievances.
