The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced a new initiative aimed at resolving the ongoing maritime crisis in the Strait of Hormuz, as tensions with Iran continue to disrupt global shipping routes.
In a statement released Monday morning, Trump revealed that the United States will “guide” vessels stranded in the Gulf region through the narrow but critical waterway under a humanitarian mission dubbed “Project Freedom.”
