Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday convened a strategic meeting in Abuja aimed at consolidating party unity and laying the groundwork for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term.
The Executive Chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi), Ismael Ahmed, organised the Progressives Strategy Roundtable held at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre.
The high-level gathering attracted federal ministers, heads of major government agencies, and influential APC stakeholders from across the country.
In a statement issued after the meeting, Ahmed explained that deliberations centred on three major goals: strengthening cohesion within the party, assessing the accomplishments of the current administration, and developing strategic plans to secure President Tinubu’s re-election.
One of the key issues highlighted was the responsibility of political appointees. Ahmed noted that every appointee represents the administration and is accountable not only to the government but also to Nigerians who entrusted it with leadership.
He cautioned that disconnecting from grassroots supporters could weaken the administration’s agenda, urging participants to intensify public engagement efforts.
“This is the time to deepen public confidence through impactful policies and coordinated strategies,” Ahmed stated.
“That is the path to sustaining progress as we approach the next election cycle.”
