Opposition Lawmakers Walk Out of Reps Plenary Over Electoral Act Amendment

‎‎Opposition members of the House of Representatives staged a walkout during plenary following disagreements over the proposed amendment to the Electoral Act.

‎The protest occurred after the lawmakers’ push to make electronic transmission of election results compulsory — without allowing manual collation as a backup in cases of technological failure — was not upheld.
