RT. HON. ABDULKADIR RAHIS: A SEASONED POLITICIAN WHO CANNOT BE EASILY DISMISSED.

~Waziri Shettima…..✍️

Those who are imagining that Rt. Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis will be pushed into a second-order position in Borno State politics may simply be deceiving themselves. Anyone who has followed his political journey closely knows that Kadiri is not a man who is easily shaken by political pressure, opposition or the machinations of those who may not wish him well.

He has been through different seasons of politics and has learned how to survive them. Like the proverbial cat with nine lives, kadiri has repeatedly shown that when the odds appear to be against him, he somehow finds a way to overcome the challenge and keep moving forward.

That resilience is part of what makes his political journey remarkable.

Today, Rt. Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis has grown into a political Iroko. Like a mighty tree that has stood through many storms, his political roots have become deeply established. You may disagree with him, you may challenge him, and you may attempt to diminish his political relevance, but writing him off is a different matter altogether.

Before becoming a member of the House of Representatives in 2015, Kadiri, like many politicians, operated within an existing political structure. He was learning, observing and understanding the game. But he was never going to remain a rookie forever.

As a politically astute and ambitious politician, he understood that there comes a time when a man must move beyond simply following the political currents and begin to chart his own course. Kadiri learned the ropes quickly. He understood the dynamics, built relationships, gained experience and gradually developed a political identity of his own.

That evolution has been central to his journey.

His story is therefore not simply the story of a man who occupied political office. It is the story of a politician who learned from experience, adapted to changing circumstances and continued to find his place in a highly competitive political environment.

Those who expect him to disappear quietly may therefore need to reconsider their assumptions. Political seasons come and go, alliances change and circumstances evolve, but a political presence built over many years cannot be wished away overnight.

Hon. Kadiri has survived different political seasons because he understands one important truth: politics is not only about the position you occupy today; it is also about the relationships, experience, resilience and political capital you build along the way.

That is the story of Rt. Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis. A man who started by learning within a structure, mastered the political terrain and eventually charted his own path.

The Iroko has stood through the storms. And those who know its roots know that it will not be easily uprooted.
