
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that at least 11 vessels loaded with aviation fuel, petrol and other commodities have arrived at the Lekki, Tin-Can Island and Apapa ports in Lagos and are awaiting discharge.
This was disclosed in the NPA’s Shipping Position report released on Wednesday in Lagos and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria.
According to the report, the vessels are transporting a range of cargoes including crude oil, bulk urea, petrol, diesel and bulk gas.
The authority also revealed that an additional 31 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive at the Apapa, Lekki and Tin-Can Island ports between January 21 and January 31.
These incoming vessels are expected to deliver petrol, gasoline, general cargo, crude oil, empty containers, bulk sugar, condensate, bulk urea, bulk gypsum, as well as containers carrying assorted goods.
Meanwhile, the NPA noted that 15 other vessels are currently berthed at the ports, discharging cargoes such as containers, diesel, gypsum, bulk salt, bulk sugar, bulk pallets, bulk oil, bulk urea and crude oil.
