The Member Representing Maiduguri Metropolitan Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis, has facilitated the appointment of 10 constituents from Maiduguri into the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

The beneficiaries, who were selected based on merit and competence, were drawn from various wards across Maiduguri Metropolitan Federal Constituency, reflecting the lawmaker’s commitment to ensuring that qualified constituents have access to opportunities irrespective of their areas within the constituency.

The successful beneficiaries are expected to proceed to Bauchi State to participate in the required oral interview and screening exercise as part of the recruitment process.

In a further demonstration of his commitment to the welfare and success of the beneficiaries, Rt. Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis has taken responsibility for their transportation to and from Bauchi, accommodation, feeding and other essential logistics associated with the exercise. He has also provided additional financial support to ease their stay and enable them to concentrate fully on the interview and screening process.

Speaking to the beneficiaries before their departure, the lawmaker charged them to see the opportunity as a responsibility to serve not only themselves but also the people of Maiduguri and Nigeria at large.

He urged them to be good ambassadors of Maiduguri Metropolitan Federal Constituency, conduct themselves with discipline and integrity, and approach the oral interview with seriousness, confidence and preparedness.

Rt. Hon. Rahis further encouraged the beneficiaries to remain focused on building sustainable careers, stressing that the opportunity should be regarded as the beginning of a journey towards professional growth and meaningful contribution to national development.

He advised them to make the most of the opportunity by demonstrating their knowledge, competence, discipline and commitment to public service.

The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Rt. Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis for his intervention and the extensive support provided to facilitate their participation in the oral interview. They acknowledged that the transportation, accommodation, feeding and other logistical arrangements would significantly reduce the financial burden associated with travelling to Bauchi.

The intervention is widely regarded as another demonstration of the lawmaker’s efforts to empower his constituents and connect qualified young people with employment and career opportunities.

The 10 beneficiaries are expected to proceed to Bauchi for the oral interview and screening exercise, with a charge to conduct themselves professionally and represent Maiduguri Metropolitan Federal Constituency with honour and dignity.
