Wike Says Contractors Must Deliver Results or Face Pressure
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly admitted that working with him is not easy, stressing that contractors and government officials must demonstrate competence, commitment, and the ability to deliver projects on schedule.
The minister made the remarks on Wednesday during the inauguration of the newly completed Federal High Court Judges Quarters in the Katampe district of Abuja. The project was commissioned as part of activities marking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s third year in office.
According to Wike, his strict supervision style is driven by a desire to ensure that public projects are completed efficiently and that taxpayers receive value for money.
“Working with me is very difficult because you really have to show that you have the capacity to deliver,” Wike stated.
