APC Chairman Expresses Admiration for Wike’s Leadership and Work Ethic
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has openly praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, describing him as one of the most hardworking public officials in Nigeria today.
Yilwatda made the remarks during the official flag-off ceremony for the construction of the Collector Road CO1, stretching from the Nile University area to Ring Road III, as well as the extension of the Body of Benchers Road in Abuja. The project forms part of activities marking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s third anniversary in office.
Representing President Tinubu at the event, the APC chairman commended Wike’s dedication to infrastructural development in the Federal Capital Territory and acknowledged the visible transformation taking place under his leadership.

In a statement that drew laughter and applause from attendees, Yilwatda admitted that he wished Wike were a member of the APC instead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“The workaholic, ever-working and tireless Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike. I honestly do not know when you sleep,” Yilwatda said.
He further added:
“I am jealous that you are still in the PDP. I wish I could corner you and bring you into the APC. However, I am happy that the PDP borrowed you to us in 2023.”
