NEDC Inspects Ongoing Roads And Bridges Projects In Potiskum

‎‎The North East Development Commission (NEDC), under the leadership of its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed G. Alkali, has continued to intensify efforts to improve critical infrastructure across the North-East. As part of this commitment, the Yobe State Coordinator, Prof. Ali Ibrahim Abbas, representing the MD/CEO, conducted an inspection of ongoing road and bridge projects in Potiskum Local Government Area of Yobe State.

‎The projects inspected include:

‎Kara–Masaka–Mazaga Road Project: Construction of a two-span, 40-metre bridge with a 2.6-kilometre approach road.
‎Tandari–Lai Lai GRA Road Project: Construction of a three-span, 40-metre bridge with a 0.5-kilometre access road
‎Ari Kime Road Project: Construction of 1-kilometre and 2-kilometre culvert access roads linking Nangere Road to the new junction and the Specialist Hospital.

‎Earlier this year, the Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Mohammed G. Alkali, accompanied by the Executive Director, Administration and Finance, Dr. Abubakar Garba Iliya, visited Yobe State to assess critical infrastructure needs and reaffirm the Commission’s commitment to strategic interventions. Since then, the NEDC has commenced and sustained the execution of several road projects across the state.

‎The inspection reflects the Commission’s unwavering dedication to ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality infrastructure that strengthens connectivity, stimulates economic activities, and improves the quality of life for communities across the North-East.

‎These interventions are in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which prioritises rebuilding the North-East and driving sustainable socio-economic development.
